CHROMING INFORMATION

 

Dash Original has been copper coating plastics for 15 years. 

 

Copper coating is a technique that permits the effective coating of many different types of surfaces in preparation for chrome plating. 

Our procedure involves stripping the part back to bare plastic, performing any plastic repairs that need to be done, than copper coating it.

 

The final finish is a bright hard chrome affect that will not rub or peel off. 

We can also colour the parts if required as the photo of the XR GT Glove box srtip shows.

 

We strive to re-chrome all parts so they look as good as the original, however because we are dealing with, in most cases, old parts this is not always possible.

 

Due to the large amount of items that need chroming the turnaround process takes at least 8 weeks.
